There’s something special about the second session with a family. The first time, we’re getting to know each other. The second time, it feels like picking up a conversation with old friends. This year, they brought along one very important family member: their new dog!
A RUstic Barn
We met at Valley Forge Park on one of those crisp autumn mornings and chose the old barn for it's character, with weathered wood, stone walls and the kind of history you can feel standing next to it. Against the changing leaves and open fields, it made the perfect backdrop for a family that loves being outdoors together.
Three Kids’ Worth of Personality (Plus One Dog)
With a family of five, there’s always something happening, and that’s exactly what I love. Dogs bring a wonderful kind of chaos to a session. They don’t know they’re supposed to look at the camera, and that’s the point. There were a few periods where the one year old dog, just got the zoomies and ran around in circles, making us all laugh.
Watching a Family Grow
Photographing a family more than once is a privilege. I get to see how the kids have changed since our first session, how the baby is no longer a baby. These images will sit beside the ones from our first session, and together they tell a story that keeps unfolding.
