The good news? You don't need an overflowing closet with looks that could seem slightly dated in a year. the best senior session outfits photograph beautifully because they are simple and authentic.

Here are a few recommendations to finding the best looks for you.

One Elevated Look

I always recommend on bringing one outfit that is polished and elevated, This is the one most likely for your parents and they'll loved framed and in your graduation announcement.

For girls, this could be:

  • A flowing midi or knee length dress.
  • Soft Neutrals like white, cream, sage, pale blue or blush.
  • Feminine details like subtle texture, slight ruffles or fabric that allows movement.

For guys:

  • A fitted button down
  • Neutral khakis or dark denim
  • Layers like a lightweight jacket or sweater

The goal is timeless, not overly formal.

A Casual Look

Your Senior Session should also capture who you are right now. A more relaxed outfit brings personality and variety to your photos

Some combinations to consider:

  • Denim with a solid shirt. Girls could choose something sleeveless or off the shoulder.
  • Relaxed linen pieces
  • Simplistic shoes like white sneakers or sandals
  • A favorite leather belt or jewelry for texture

Avoid:

  • Large Logos
  • Neon Colors
  • Busy patterns
  • Anything constantly needing readjustment.
  • If anything feels uncomfortable, it will show in your photos

Think About Movement

Movement photographs beautifully. Dresses, skirts, loose sleeves, layered fabrics and relaxed silhouettes create natural motion. Basically, they bring fun and life to your photos.

Structured clothing can work, as long as pieces are not stiff.

Don't Forget Your Shoes

Shoes matter more than most people think. Make clean, simple choices that match the outfit. More importantly, they allow you to move comfortably. Neutral shoes photograph best.

Lastly, wear something that feels like you.
